This week at Tramore AC

After last weeks Waterford to Tramore run, it was back to marathon and half marathon training for many of our athletes this week.  For those who braved the rain on Wednesday night, we had a great pyramid speed session on the hockey pitch and it was a welcome change from running on the road.  With many of our members up to 18 miles in marathon training and 10-12 miles for the half marathon, remember to register for the Waterford Viking Marathon on time.  The cost is currently €50 but this goes up to €60 on the 1st June and registration closes on the 15th June.  You can enter here

Congratulations of Gerry Fitzgerald who completed the 5 mile Portlaw run in 32 minutes last night.  Great running by Gerry again.

Also best of luck to Nellie Cuddihy who is running the Kildare 10k tomorrow.

Waterford to Tramore Run

Well done to the large Tramore AC contingent who ran in the Waterford to Tramore 7.5 mile run on Saturday 5th May.  On what was a lovely night for running and the added pleasure of running towards home, we had approximately 16 runners taking part who all finished with smiles on their faces and all looking very comfortable.  We also had a great number of supporters on the route, placed well to give much needed encouragement.  Well done all.  Full results here

Well done to all who ran the Tramore 4 in aid of Glor na Mara school, mentions have to be made to club members Elaine K,  Noleen, Margaret and Elaine W and Siobhan who braved that windy prom.  Big thanks to all who screamed along the way especially Jenny and Sandra hiding at the steps, great place girls.  The sandwiches and CAKEs afterwards at the GAA were fantastic and much needed along with lots of hot coffee and tea.  Thanks again to all involved.  Whilst Tramore AC did not quite make the 20 min finishing time (!!!!) we all did ourselves and the club very proud with a few PBs along the way.  Now for the Waterford Tramore one
