Tramore AC bag pack

We have organised a bag pack fundraising day on Saturday the 5th May in Supervalu, Tramore. Volunteers are needed so please give up an hour of your time for your club.  The bag pack starts at 10am with the last slot at 6pm. Please let Lisa Stapleton know what time you are available.  Thanks

Wishing everyone luck for tomorrows fundraising run.  Registration from 5, kids running at 6 and runners at 6.30.  Lets hope the rain stays off.

2012 membership form

Click HERE for the 2012 membership form, complete it and bring to training. We meet on Monday at 7pm at Tesco Tramore and on Wednesday at the new park opposite the Majestic Hotel at 7pm. Payment is just 25 for the year.

Busy weekend for Tramore AC athletes

It was a busy weekend for many Tramore AC athletes competing in various events both home and abroad.  It was great to see 9 athletes running under the Tramore AC name on Friday night in the Butlerstown 10k and congratulations to PJ McCarthy with a very impressive 1 hour 35 minutes in the Wexford Half Marathon setting him up nicely for the Limerick Marathon in 2 weeks time.   A special mention goes to Jackie McGee who completed the London Marathon in an excellent 4 hours 1 minute, 58 seconds.  Well done everyone, you've done us all proud.

Congratulations to all Tramore AC members who ran brilliantly in the Butlerstown 10k on Friday 20th and in particular our two coaches, Gerry Fitzgerald 40.10 and Davy Wade 40.40.  Full results here

UPCOMING LOCAL RACES

The Glor Na Mara 4 mile race will take place on Friday 27th April at 6.30pm.  Registration from 5.30pm at Oceanics Surf School. It would be great to see a big turnout from Tramore AC members for this race.

The annual Waterford to Tramore (Paddy Flanagan) 7.5 mile race will take place on Saturday 5th May at 7pm from near City Hall, Waterford.  You can enter here.  €10 on line and €12 on the day.

This week's Results and Fixtures

Congratulations to Claire Fowler of Tramore AC who ran so well in the Great Ireland Run on Sunday the 15th April 2012 last in Phoenix Park finishing in 4th place in her category in a time of 44.38.

Best of luck also to all members racing in the Butlerstown 10k this coming Friday, 20th April, the Wexford half marathon on Sunday the 22nd April and of course, Jackie, competing in the London Marathon also on Sunday 22nd April.
